Treehouse
This was perhaps my original architecture project. My Grandpa, Dad and I built what was basically a box in the trees when I was 13, and it remained as such for a few years- until I realized what it could be if I used some scraps from around the house and creativity.
By the time I was done with it, the treehouse featured:
- Glass windows and a skylight (all of which were saved from the trash and repaired)
- A deck made of old 2×4s
- Wall sockets powered via some buried wiring (followed shortly by a stereo and N64)
- Carpeting and a futon couch/bed
- Shelving and a shoerack
- Built-in rope lighting, controlled by a leftover dimmer switch
- A birdhouse
It’s still in great shape now
